100^th Birthday Celebratio - The family of Shirley Johnson, née Ruth Shirley Lavers, join in wishing our mother the very happiest of one hundredth birthdays. Born in the family home on Kings St, September 7th, 1921, Mum grew up in Parrsboro & graduated from Acadia in 1941. Ever a proud Maritimer, Mom shared the passion and dedication of her generation, serving King and country throughout WW II as a Nursing Sister-Dietician in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps. In 1946, Mum married our father, Robert G. Johnson upon his return from serving overseas in The RCAF. They enjoyed 68 contented years together, raising 5 children. Later, Mum returned to work serving as a social worker in Ontario and ultimately in Charlottetown, PEI.

All the Children, Elaine, David, Robert, Peter, Harlan as well as the grandchildren Eliot, George, Niki, Nathaniel, Heather, Robert Jr., Katie & Cameron as well as the great grandchildren, join in wishing Mum a Happy Birthday.
