Help Nova Scotia…help Ukrainians relocate – A Community-Driven Initiative

When anyone is in trouble, Nova Scotians go out of their way to assist a friend, relative or neighbour. Let’s use the same level of compassion to assist Ukrainians to flee from danger and relocate here. Let’s work together to build a network to enable hosting 10,000 to 20,000 Ukrainians who are fleeing Russia invading their homeland.

This is not a fundraising request. The Shoreline Journal monthly newspaper wants rural Nova Scotians to contact people in their local community to see how many may be able to host Ukraine family members in their home for a short period of time, until more permanent accommodations can be found. It will be a challenge, but Nova Scotia should be able to accommodate up to 20,000.
